From there, the tour takes you through charming backstreets and quiet canals to visit at least three authentic bacari or osterie, each with its own atmosphere and specialties. In these cozy, often centuries-old spots, you’ll sample cicchetti—Venetian small plates similar to Spanish tapas, each one packed with flavor and rooted in local tradition. Think creamy baccalà mantecato (whipped cod), marinated sardines, polenta with cheese or anchovies, and seasonal surprises.

Highly recommend! Really cool walk, filled with history, and led us to see some parts of Venice that we’d likely not stumble upon alone. We visited some workshops, a pasticceria, and it is also super helpful how Lucia provides us with a ton of recommendations for where to eat. Last but not least, loved her energy and good vibes!
