I am sure you have many questions about the floating city of Venice. If you are wondering why was Venice built on water?
When was the city built?
How could it survive unconquered for more than one thousand years as an independent Republic, with the most stable and long-lived political system after the Roman Empire? Why Venice was called la Serenissima? Why does St. Mark’s Church look so oriental?
Is Venice sinking?
During this Half day Venice highlights private tour(I propose 3 hours but it can be 100% tailored), you will capture the real essence of Venice.
We can start from one of these 3 itineraries, but I suggest you to take a look to my others tours to create the best experience for you:

I will lead you through the millennium of life of the Serenissima Republic. So, let’s discover the past full of charm of this unique city and its intriguing present.
First of all, Lucia is the most adorable and loveable young woman. She is kind and considerate and she thought of everything. She planned out our time together perfectly and included everything that we had asked for. Lucia was organized but at the same time, took our needs into consideration at all times. We were never rushed and we had the chance to see and experience everything at our oace. She brought us to the nicest places in Venice with a particular shout out to the best mask shop where we had the most fun selecting masks for Carnevale and also for decoration for our home. We stopped along the way for a delicious bite and a prosecco and I feel that we covered so much and really saw the highlights and the hidden gems. She expertly guided us in and around and always kept us engaged with interesting stories and anecdotes. We learned so much about Venice and were able to see and to experience everything that we had planned to see. At the end of the tour, I was sad to say goodbye. I felt like Lucia was part of our family! I will remember our time together always. What a wonderful day!
Strongly recommended We had an amazing time with Lucia, she made the tour very interesting, engaging and entertaining. She is very passionate about her job, true Venitian, with a lot of stories to tell. She was also very helpful on giving us advice. Everything was perfect.
We love Lucia Lucia was our favorite part as she perfectly blends spirit and thought in a human and engaging experience.
Lucia was the most gracious and courteous guide we have experienced in three countries this trip. We have one more day with her and are anxiously looking forward to it. If we had more time in Venice we would attempt to book more days with her. FANTASTIC. She even controlled the weather!!
Lucia was very knowledgeable of the history of Venice as well as giving us some insider information.
